The new year on a strong note
The Dubai Financial Market and the Abu Dhabi Securities Market both began the new year on a strong note, with the DFM ending the day, Wednesday, up 71.39 points, or 1.20 percent, to finish on 6,003.
The day's big gainer was Grand Real Estate, which climbed 12.29 percent. Meanwhile, the ADSM was up 75.21 points, or 1.65 percent, to finish on 4,627. United Arab Bank was the index's big gainer, up 9.75 percent.
