• Dubai Libraries have launched the summer activities program under the theme (Today’s Reader is Tomorrow’s Leader). The courses program will extend from June 22 to July 31, 2008. For further information, please visit: www.dm.gov.ae

• The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, in cooperation with Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage, hosts poet Karim Al Iraqi for a poetry recitation evening today at the foundation’s premises on Rigga Street. An art exhibition of Saudi artist Sara Al Sahli will also be opened today at the foundation.

• H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai will be inaugurating the Cultural & Scientific Association new building in Mimzar on Saturday 17/5/2008 at Noon.
