48 insurance companies operate in UAE
Forty eight insurance companies operate in UAE, according to a statistical report released by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The report also said that 24 companies among the total are national and the remaining foreign insurance firms.
Among the 13 insurance companies which offer life insurance schemes, 11 are national companies which also provide other insurance services.
The report also showed that the total investment in the insurance sector decreased from AED 18.237b to AED 17.270b representing a 5.6pc fall. (WAM)
