UAE hosts Arab conference on judicial inspection next Sunday

The 11th Conference of Heads of Judicial Inspection Authorities in Arab Countries will be opened next Sunday at Sharjah University under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah." 72 judicial and legal specialists, experts and scholars from 17 Arab countries have confirmed their participation. This edition will, for the first time, see the participation of the most Arab countries, which is proof of the distinguished status the UAE enjoys among Arab sister countries", said chairman of the higher organizing committee Counselor Mohammed Mahmoud Al Kamali.Held on invitation from the UAE, the 5-day gathering is organized by the UAE Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the Arab League's Center Center for Judicial and Legal Studies.Al Kamali said the UAE will propose the setting up of an Arab permanent regional training center for judicial and legal inspectors to be based in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah.UAE Minister of Justice and Chairman of the UAE Federal Judicial Council Mohammed Nakhira Al Dhaheri will deliver the opening speech of the event.A number of UAE judges, counselors and judicial officials will be among a group of prominent Arab legal and judicial officials and counselors to be honored at the conference by Sheikh Sultan. According to Head of Judicial Inspection Authority at the UAE Ministry of Justice Hussain Mohammed Al Jehazi, the five main topics to be discussed by the conference include the use of modern technologies in judicial inspection procedures, a proposal to set up Arab permanent regional training center for judicial and legal inspectors, ethics and behaviors of Arab judges, the effects of inspection on the independence of judicial systems, a proposed strategy for selecting staff members of judicial authorities, continuous training and putting recommendations of the conference into effect.
