Expo on habitat products and European Children's fashion

The 'New Feria Valencia Concepts' - expo on habitat products and European Children's fashion was inaugurated on Tuesday by UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development Abdul Rehman Al-Owais at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The event which is Dubai first time will run from March 4 to March 2008 will feature an array of latest concepts and products which the Spanish industry has to offer for the habitat, real estate and construction sectors as well as children's fashion. The expo will highlight key components of Spanish business and culture to help support the growing bilateral relations between Spain and the UAE, according to Carlos de Vargas, CEO, Feria Valencia of Spain, the largest exhibition organizers and venue owners.

The exhibition he said, will also have a Valencia-focused art and photo showcase component, has been brought to Dubai to highlight Spanish business and culture.

"Significantly, companies from Valencia are looking at enhancing trade relation with the region in the wake of the economic boom in the region creating tremendous opportunities for European companies to tap into." He said the products and concepts which will be on display are positioned at the high-end segment of the market targeting discerning customers. Dubai and the region as a whole is an ideal market place for these companies because in our assessment the markets for premium products and services have grown in tandem with the continuing economic prosperity.' Located in hall 8 at the Centre in Dubai, the exhibition will cover a total of 4,000 square meters divided into two clearly differentiated areas. On one hand, the exhibition will have the commercial offer, featuring products from companies in the lighting, furniture, home textiles, ceramic coverings and bathroom equipment, wood for home decor and real estate industries, plus the latest collections from children's fashion.

Vargas expressed confidence that the boom in the regional economy and the accelerated pace of growth in the real estate and construction industry will throw open many opportunities for the participants.

The children's fashion show - represented by Children's Fashion Europe' which will be part of the Dubai exhibition will have 25 brands from prestigious European designers showcasing their collections of children's fashion for the Autumn Winter 2008-2009 season. Brands from various European countries such as France, Spain, Italy or Portugal are participating in this first edition. The children's fashion collections will be completely original, elegant and refined with a perfect selection of the most interesting brands in terms of product identity and quality. (WAM)
