Bill Gates to address leaders forum today
Microsoft yesterday announced that more than 250 government representatives from across the Middle East and North Africa will attend the Government Leaders Forum (GLF) Arabia 2008 which begins today.
Bill Gates will be the keynote speaker at the forum, to be held today and tomorrow at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. This is the first time the Microsoft chief is visiting the UAE.
GLF Arabia 2008 seeks to address issues related to the forum’s title — ‘Accelerating Arab Competitiveness’ — through panel discussions, examining case studies and presentations.
Every Arab country will be represented at the event, as government officials explore the most effective ways of building capacity through education and training, and also modernising government departments with the latest technologies. Source
