Style Hong Kong in Dubai

Hong Kong yesterday unveiled its biggest product showcase in its largest Middle East market, the UAE, in an exhibit inaugurated by Shaikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director-General of Dubai Department of Information.

Hong Kong's trade with the UAE grew 18.7 per cent to Dh12.5 billion ($3.4 billion) for the first nine months from a year ago, according to a Press statement.
Hong Kong's exports to the UAE totalled jumped 29 per cent to Dh7.7 billion ($2.1 billion) it bought Dh4.8 billion ($1.3 billion) worth of goods from the UAE for the same period.
Style Hong Kong in Dubai, a four-day exposition participated in by 230 companies from China's administrative region, high showcases seven major products and services including construction, electronics and IT, fashion and accessories, home and hotel, household and jewellery.
"This year's expo is a reflection of the growing capabilities of Hong Kong's increasingly creative and innovative designers," said Jeff Ambjorn, director for the Middle East, Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
The exposition is part of the 22nd International Autumn Trade Fair (IATF), which runs until December 12, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It offers free on-the-spot business matching services and an introduction to the trade council's online services including searches for Hong Kong products and suppliers. Launched in 2003, Style Hong Kong has also rolled out successfully in Budapest, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Moscow. Source
