E-link between the ministries to ease visa issuance
The e-link between the ministries of Labour and Interior (MoI), which was launched recently, will go a long way in facilitating formalities for issuance of employment visas, a senior official of the Ministry of Labour (MoL) has said.
Obaid Rashid Al Zahmi, assistant under-secretary of the MoL, told Khaleej Times that the e-link between the two ministries would also help provide information on the illegals in the country.
“PROs and company owners can now complete the formalities on the linked counters at the MoL and then receive the visas from the Immigration Departments directly and quickly,” said Al Zahmi.
The move is part of the MoL’s strategy to simplify the formalities for issuance of employment visas. Source
