Foreigners buy over Dh8b worth of stocks on DFM
Foreign investors bought Dh8.609 billion worth of shares and bonds at the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) last week, a company statement yesterday said.
It said the figure accounted for 24.9 per cent of Dh34.567 billion, the total value of stocks traded on November 4-8.
It added that UAE nationals invested Dh25.958 billion in DFM stocks while they sold Dh26.272 billion worth of stocks during the same period.
The value of stocks sold by foreigners last week reached Dh8.295, or 24 per cent of the total value, while net foreign investment amounted to Dh314 million. Institutional investors, meanwhile, bought Dh6.866 worth of stocks comprising 19.9 per cent of the total value traded last week. The value of stocks they sold reached 20 per cent to Dh6.904 billion.
