Consumer Protection Committee rejects price increase
The Consumer Protection Committee has rejected planned increase in the prices of fast food meals, rice and cement and urged Oasis Company to reduce price of water produced in their water plants in the UAE.
This came during the committee's meeting, held here today under the chairmanship of Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Economy Ministry's Under Secretary for Economic Affairs.
Al Saleh said that the committee had rejected the proposed increase in the prices of Basmati rice and urged cooperatives to directly import it from producing countries. Source
