Payment of compensatory amounts to owners of 71 plots of land
Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of Dubai Municipality (DM), approved payment of new compensatory amounts to owners of 71 plots of lands which were affected by urban planning and vital development projects in Deira and Bur Dubai, according to Acting Director-General of DM Engineer Hussain Lootah, the new batch of approved compensation totalled Dh35,604,000.
Lootah said the municipality is speeding up procedures to deliver due amounts to eligible beneficiaries.
The municipality’s assistant director of financial department, Humaid Saeed Al Ghaith, said all beneficiaries were notified of the approval and were requested to report at the municipality with all required documents so that cheques in their favour could be sent to the Dubai Lands Department.
