DIB donates Dhs. 4million for Charity

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) announced today that it has donated AED 4 million to support the Dubai Charity Association projects.The donation was made in the presence of Mohammed Saeed Al Shari, Executive Vice President, Finance, DIB, Ahmed Khalfan bin Khirbash, Senior Vice President, DIB, and Ahmed Musmar, representative of Dubai Charity Association.Mohammed Saeed Al Shari said: "DIB's vision meets the association's plan in extending its charity activities to cover all the emirates in the UAE. This donation signals DIB's commitment to local and regional charities and reflects our belief in supporting the Takaful concept in the UAE community. DIB has always been at the forefront of support of social causes here." He added: "The association is active in supporting needy families and orphans. It also contributes to building mosques, schools and medical clinics. The association works on several other projects among them printing Islamic books and translations of the Holy Quran in different languages." The Dubai Islamic Bank established early in 1975 as a joint stock company is considered the first Islamic bank in the world which presents a practical translation and realistic experience of successful financial transactions on Islamic lines.
