Education Minister holds meeting with zonal directors

Education Minister Dr Hanif Hassan held a meeting here today with the Directors of Educational Zones to discuss the 'Tomorrow's Schools' project, the first phase of which is scheduled to be launched during the scholastic year 2007-08.Initially, the project will be implemented on 50 schools of different levels.Dr Hanif urged all parties involved in the education process to play their part in guaranteeing success for the project."Quality education is a joint responsibility to be shared by all stakeholders, bearing in mind that the prime beneficiary is the student," he said.The Education Minister pointed out that in three years time, national universities and higher institutes will discontinue their pre-college preparatory tutorials for newly-admitted students from secondary schools, saving millions of Dirhams.
