UAE, 18th in tourism poll

The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2007 put together by the World Economic Forum has placed the UAE in 18th place in a global list of nations measuring their tourism development potential, reported Gulf News. The UAE was the highest placed Mena region country, with Tunisia next in 34th place. The top ten consisted of Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Iceland, the US, Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, Luxembourg and the UK.
