School Agency launched by The Knowledge and Human Development Authority

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority launched the School Agency, which will manage public and private school education in Dubai.
Dr Abdullah Al Karam, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the authority, launched the agency as the authority's first step towards achieving the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, laid out in the Dubai Strategy Plan 2007-15.
The agency will oversee the Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12) classes in both public and private sectors by emphasising high standards of education to serve the best interest of the students, parents and administration.
The agency will focus on administrative support to the education sector by developing the organisational structure of the Dubai Education Zone.
The authority's key role lies in enhancing the quality of education in various stages in accordance with market requirements. This can be achieved through planning, executing and monitoring all education development schemes.
Responsible for creating and disseminating knowledge across Dubai, the authority will focus on K-12 education sector in both public and private sectors as it is the fundamental step towards improving the whole education and knowledge system.
The authority will ensure the continuation of the human development process.
