Preserving residents' sense of security
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday made a surprise visit to an evening workshop organised by Dubai Police on security strategy which is part of Dubai's development plan.
The workshop is being held to update and modernise Dubai Police's security plan, which is in conformity with Dubai's development strategy 2015, recently launched by Shaikh Mohammad.
Shaikh Mohammad underlined the importance of achieving the goals and implementing the new strategy. He praised the distinguished role played by Dubai Police in enhancing security and ensuring public safety.
He stressed the need to continue working towards ensuring security and live up to the country's international reputation as a tourism destination.
Shaikh Mohammad also commended Dubai Police for adopting a clear working plan and a scientific method.
Shaikh Mohammad promised that he would spare no effort to preserve national gains, combat crime, ensure safety and security, control road safety and hunt criminals, so that residents can enjoy a sense of security.
Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, Brigadier Dr Jamal Mohammad Al Merri, Dubai Police Deputy Chief, and directors of police departments, were present.
