Ministry of Economy issues new economic report

United Arab Emirates economy has witnessed a remarkable advancement in 2006, according to a new economic report issued by the Ministry of Economy.The national economy has achieved an exceptional growth rate in 2006 reaching 33.4 percent in terms of current prices and 8.9 percent in terms of fixed prices.

The nominal GDP has increased in 2006 to AED 599.0 billion over AED 485.0 billion in 2005. All economic sectors have attained higher growth rates in a manner compatible with the country's policy targeting the diversification of the economic base in order to create a more balanced and stable economy.
