DIHAD 2007 kicks off tomorrow
Influential leaders and practitioners of the humanitarian sphere will convene in Dubai for the fourth edition of Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition- DIHAD 2007 which will be launched tomorrow against a backdrop of increasing humanitarian activities in and from Dubai and the UAE's efforts to position itself as a global hub for humanitarian support, services and functions.The event is supported by the United Nations, the he UAE Red Crescent Society, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Est.,and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai.An international gathering of those working in international humanitarian and development assistance, the event is the only established event in the region dedicated to the humanitarian domain bringing together a cross section of international, regional and local professionals who will be looking towards the future of relief, aid and development.Held over two and a half day at the at the Dubai International Convention Centre, DIHAD 2007 will give participants a chance to exchange knowledge and debate the most pressing global humanitarian and maximize contributions for humanitarian and relief operations across the world.
