Largest Gulfood in history opens to industry applause

The largest-ever Gulfood exhibition was inaugurated yesterday by HH Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, director general of Dubai Information Department.Following the ribbon cutting, His Highness and his entourage toured the exhibition, which spreads over a total of 50,000m² at the Dubai International Convention Centre (DICEC), including the new Zabeel Hall.Recording more than 40% growth in exhibition space compared to previous years, Gulfood 2007 is the largest food, foodservice and hospitality exhibition in the region and is attended by more than 2200 companies from around the world.
The event is one of the most comprehensive in the world and will undoubtedly continue to provide an essential platform for business development for exhibitors and visitors."The trade-only show has become a cornerstone of the food, beverage and hospitality industries in the Middle East, with international exhibitors unveiling a wide selection of new food and beverage products, foodservice, preparation equipment, hospitality supplies, processing and packaging technology for the benefit of visitors from the hotel, retail and catering sectors.
