Oil & Gas Expo
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE); the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) — world’s fourth largest representative bodies of energy and petroleum professionals — have decided to move their major international conference to Dubai in 2007, hosting the event at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is one of the most significant and comprehensive oil and gas conferences in the world. The theme of the 2007 Conference is ‘A Changing World — Interdependence, Innovation, and Implementation’. Figures from the International Energy Agency suggest that primary energy demands will more than double by 2030, so the next session of the conference will provide a critical forum for senior energy executives to discuss how they can provide sufficient supply to meet global needs.
The IPTC brings together representatives of the world’s oil and gas industries to discuss key aspects of exploration, production and distribution of natural resources. It will also examine solutions for the world’s evolving energy demands. The biennial conference provides a major networking and knowledge exchange opportunity for industry professionals, scientists and major stakeholders in the oil and gas industries. Countries in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region will play a key role in meeting this surging demand, which is expected to remain strong until 2030.
