Tatweer announces Marvel Theme Park
Tatweer, a Dubai-based multi-sector enterprise with a portfolio including energy, healthcare, tourism, industry and real estate and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced a contract with US-based Marvel Entertainment, creators of action characters such as Spider-Man, The X-Men and the Fantastic Four, to develop a super here theme park at the world’s largest leisure, tourism and entertainment destination.
To be located in Dubailand, the Marvel Super Heroes theme park will be one of Tatweer’s key projects. The company recently finalized the conceptual master plan of the 4.5 million square feet project, with an expected opening date in 2012. The theme park will further enhance and diversity the region’s entertainment offerings, and put Dubai in the spotlight as on of the world’s most attractive tourism destinations.

Unique experience
Originally planned as a partnership between the Al Ahli Group and Marvel Entertainment, the management of the project is now being overseen by Tatweer.
