• Under the directive of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Event Management Corporation, today announced the Corporation has been mandated to revive the Al Bastakiya district, one of the most historic landmarks of Dubai.
• Under the sponsorship of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the London Orchestra in cooperation with Dubai Properties part of the Dubai Holdings Group launched a series of cultural projects in the Heritage Village, which includes a Theater as well as Music Institutions.

• Green Art Gallery in cooperation with Satarkhan Gallery in Egypt are organized an art exhibition to showcase the works of the artist Katherine Bakhoun Tisne and will continue to the 26 May 2008. For more information contact the following number 043449888.
• The Emirate of Dubai will host the inaugural Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature (EAIFL), where some of the world’s literary talents will be participating. The event will take place from February 25 to March 01, 2009.
• The first Documentary Films Initiative in the UAE will be held from 4 – 7 July 2008, at the Dubai Community Theater and Art Center of the Emirates Mall.
