UAE Central Bank cuts CD rates

The Central Bank of UAE announced today that it has cut its certificate of deposit (CD) rates by 25 basis points from 4.50 to 4.25 on the short term deposits effective from today, Wednesday as US Federal Reserves lowered the interest rates.

Federal Reserve had cut US interest rates by a modest quarter-point yesterday.(WAM)
