New Garhoud Bridge will open this Saturday
Dubai’s new Garhoud Bridge will open four lanes to traffic this Saturday, an official confirmed yesterday.
Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the Roads and Transport Authority said “Four lanes on the bridge will be opened from Bur Dubai to Deira side while the motorists coming from Deira to Bur Dubai will continue to use the old Al Garhoud Bridge.”
The new bridge is set to open in full in March 2008, with seven lanes in each direction and the potential to carry 16,000 vehicles per hour. Source
