• Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development will be organizing from 15 – 16 of April at Emirates Palace, Abu-Dhabi, the National Identity Year, 2008.


• The Gulf Film Festival (GFF), a non-profit cultural event, kicks off in Dubai on April 13 and runs until April 18, 2008. The Gulf Film Festival is divided into two segments - a competition specifically for films from the Gulf region, and a script competition for short UAE films. GFF will also feature international cinema from all over the world.

• Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research , an exhibition of Roaming Nobel Museum entitled “Alfred Nobel: Networks of Innovation” opened at Dubai Men’s College on March 30, 2008. The exhibition runs for two months.

• Dubai Press Club organizes the Arab Media Forum 2008, on the 23rd and 24th of April 2008 at Monarch Hotel Dubai, under the theme “Technology and Integration of Arab Media”
