Women Parliamentarians of the region to meet in Abu Dhabi
The Federal National Council (FNC), under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima, Supreme Chairperson of Family Development Foundation, Chairperson of UAE Women's Federation and Chairperson of Arab Woman Organization, will organize next month a regional conference of the woman parliamentarians and decision makers in the GCC countries.
The women members of parliament in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE will participate in the conference to be held in cooperation with the International Parliamentary Federation. Parliamentarians from Yemen will be invited as observers to the conference.
The conference will assess the achievements of women of the Gulf region in the political field as well as the progress made so far after the first conference held last year in Bahrain. Source
