du Enhanced Mobile Network Coverage Extends to More Areas in the UAE

High-Speed 3G Data Services Now Within Easier Reach
As a step towards enhancing the mobile telephony experience, du - the UAE’s new telecom operator, is proud to announce a further strengthening of its network coverage across the country. This step aims to achieve even higher levels of customer satisfaction offering them convenience, comfort and real value for money.
du's continuously optimized network will provide easier access to mobile communications and 3G/2G data services. du’s enhanced network reaches to include new areas in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Khor Fakkan.
On this development Osman Sultan, CEO of du commented: “It is our ongoing endeavour to extend the joy of mobile telephony to benefit more and more people in the UAE. The continuous feedback from our customers over our 6 months of operations has assisted us to identify areas to strengthen our presence. Whether it is a highway or a home, our customers can now enjoy the power of full mobility at leisure.”
New permits are being acquired on a daily basis to set up new base stations and cell sites while giving particular attention to busy areas such as highways, residential and commercial areas and densely populated districts. The step is aimed to minimize network congestion and call drops that are normal for any newly setup telecoms across the globe.
du is also currently sharing 41 network sites with Etisalat in areas such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Khor Fakkan, Sharjah and Fujairah as well as remote areas.
