Ministry of Social Affairs : strategy

Maryam Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs , told that her ministry was keen to reflect its strategic plan for the years 2008-210 in away that goes in line with the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his brother H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai who always stress on providing the people with all necessary needs that enable them to lead happy lives .She also said that the strategy of the Ministry " is focused on activating the partnership with the private sector , promoting the sense of responsibility among community members , protecting the society against all problems and negative phenomena , concentrating on the needs of elderly people and marginalized children ." The efforts exerted by the Ministry during the period of drawing up the strategy , included the formation of 14 planning teams of 75 members in total .The Minister told that the social care was one of the issues that the strategic plan has focused on.
