UAE lifts ban on Saudi poultry products

Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, Minister of Environment and Water, has issued a decree lifting the ban imposed on the importing of chilled and frozen chicken and table egg from Saudi Arabia.The Ministry's decision to lift the ban was based on information from the World Organization for Animal Health, which gave Saudi Arabia a clean sheet as a result of safety measures taken by Riyadh to get bird flu under total control. It was also based on coordination among the Ministry, the National Emergency Committee and the General Secretariat of UAE Municipalities.The Minister urged the Department of Animal Resources of the Ministry to coordinate with all related bodies in the country to implement the decision.
