The Shool's tuitition fees can go up only by 16%

Private schools in Dubai will be allowed to apply for a tuition fee increase not exceeding 16 per cent, for the academic year 2007-08. The decision comes as part of a new policy initiated by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the new government authority launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The new policy governing tuition fees levied by private schools, as part of the KHDA’s mandate, aims at improving the quality of education in Dubai.
The policy, already communicated to principals of all 135 private schools in Dubai, puts in place a clear set of parameters for tuition fee hikes, which will apply to a significant majority of schools in the emirate. A number of other schools, such as those that have attained reputed international accreditation, or, are run by non-profit motive, will self regulate their fees in coordination with the KHDA.
