The Career Exhibition

The 7th UAE Careers 2007 was inaugurated today by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, World Trade Centre. The career exhibition, which is slated to last for three days, has been organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre in association with TANMIA, Emirates National Development Programme (ENDP), and Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University. The exhibition, which is the largest in the country, has registered impressive growth across all areas, according to the organisers. With the function welcoming 15,000 visitors, over the three days this year, the organisers have re-sectioned the event for an enhanced exhibitor and visitor experience. The exhibition is conveniently divided into nine zones featuring financial services, insurance, oil and gas, transportation and aviation, commerce and trade, training and institutions, education, recruitment agencies and hospitality and tourism establishment.
Dubai World, one of the world’s largest holding companies, is set to make an impact at this Careers Exhibition in an effort to recruit greater local talent from across the UAE.This year’s exhibition has seen companies such as Nakheel, Jadaf Dubai, Jafza, Istithmar, Dubai Maritime City, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Dubai Customs, ITC & CED (Civil Engineering Department) all participating. This has been the seventh consecutive year that some of these business units are participating in the UAE Careers Fair. Officials from these companies have actively welcomed and interacted with young Emirati job aspirants in order to encourage them to apply for vacancies across a wide variety of sectors.
