New Hospital opened in Jumeirah

A 60-bed multi-discipline hospital was inaugurated in Jumeirah yesterday by Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Built at a cost of Dh120 million, Medcare Hospital boasts some of the latest of technologies. The hospital is also a boon for the people living in Jumeirah and Garhoud areas as they would now have to travel less in order to get immediate treatment.
According to officials, the hospital has already started working with patients being admitted and both simple and complex surgeries being performed It has already successfully performed Aparoscopic (keyhole surgery) for abdominal and gynaecological conditions.
Promoted under Dr Moopen’s Group and managed by Eurohealth systems, Medcare Hospital offers a full spectrum of routine and specialty services with comprehensive diagnostic and laboratory services, said the officials.
Officials said that future plans include home medical and nursing care, advanced ENT Centre and there are plans to enter Health Tourism arena with the brand Med Tourism.
