All stock markets in the UAE will take a break on Thursday, which has been declared a public holiday on the occasion of the Hijri New Year, it was announced today by the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (ESCA).
The bourses will reopen for business on Sunday morning, January 13, 2008.
The ESCA's decision was prompted by the ministry for public sector development's announcement today that Thursday, January 10, 2008 is to be observed by both the public and private sectors a national holiday. (WAM)
