The Khalifa fund for Medium and small-scale Enterprises has launched a new programme for financing the smallest enterprises. The new initiative named 'Steps' brings the total number of the Fund's financing programmes into three.
Hussein Jassim Al Nowais, Board Chairman of the Khalifa fund said that the new programme is a 'micro financing' initiative aimed at supporting small scale ventures like handicrafts and household industries.
He also said that the maximum financial support a citizen will get as per this scheme will be AED 250, 000.
The Fund was instituted in July last year in an effort to encourage investment culture among the citizens. (WAM)
