Grand Aviation - Dubai launched with capital of Dh 100 million

The rarefied air of VIP and private jet business is going to see a new entrant. Dubai-based Executive Aviation Group and Grand Aviation Kuwait have entered into a joint venture with a capital of Dh 100 million to start a luxury jet service for VIPs and business clients.

The deal was signed today in Dubai between the Chairman of Grand Aviation Kuwait, Mr. Bara'a Al Jenaei and the Vice Chairman of Executives Aviation Group, Eng. Abdulla Atatreh.

Several Distinguished guest attended the event including; Mohammad Ahli, the Director General Aviation Authority Dubai, Jamal Al hai The Vice President Dubai Airport Strategy Unit, and Ms. Anita Mehra, Vice President of Marketing for Dubai Airport. The new company, "Grand Aviation Dubai," will be based at the Dubai International Airport.

It will soon expand its services to include the Maktoum Airport at Jebel Ali. Amidst this whirl of excitement, Grand Aviation Kuwait initiated an official agreement to purchase Dubai-based Fliteport Fzco. Fliteport will provide the continued expertise of aircraft handling, refuelling and full flight dispatch services.

In turn, this will help Grand Aviation Dubai to offer comprehensive and efficient private jet services to its clients. Commenting on the launch, Sami Al Bader, the founder of Investors group, noted, "Dubai is now a global city with over 20 per cent growth in its industry. Top businesses and multinationals are setting up base here almost every month. The demand for executive and VIP travel is increasing by almost 50% a year, according to some estimates. Grand Aviation Dubai expects to take a large chunk of this fast growing business.'' "By drawing on the best talent from both the groups, including officers with over two decades of experience in the aviation industry, the new company can offer the highest possible service from the day it opens its doors. We believe in high quality and extreme efficiency, and with VIP and top business clients, nothing else will do," remarked Abdulla Atatreh. Discussing the future plans.

Hussein Al Asousi, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Grand Aviation Kuwait, stated, "The company will start with two executive jets with four more under plan, While scouting around for the planes, the company wanted to ensure that they are top in safety; have the widest, stand up cabin in their class; have long range and high altitude flying capability and full technical support from the manufacturers."
