Foreign investors purchase Dh 2.4 bn worth of share on DFM

Dubai Financial Market announced today that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during the 3rd week of May 2007, reached AED2.418 billion, comprising 34.4 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED2.269 billion, comprising 32.3 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached AED150 million during the same period. The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during the 3rd week of May 2007, reached AED1.786 billion, comprising 25.4 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED1.196 billion, which constitutes 17 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.
