Foreign investors purchase AED3.5 billion worth of shares on DFM

Dubai Financial Market announced today that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during the 2nd week of May 2007, reached AED3.532 billion, comprising 34.9 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED3.318 billion, comprising 32.8 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached AED214 million during the same period. The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during the 2nd week of May 2007, reached AED2.424 billion, comprising 24 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED2.07 billion, which constitutes 20.4 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.
