Dubai to create new 22ha man-made lake
An AED 18.626 contract to create a man-made 22ha and a 5.5ha public park in 2nd Al-Quz area in Dubai has been awarded to a UAE local construction company and the winning bid has been approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance and Industry. The park which will be constructed around the planned lake will feature special facilities for people with special needs, said acting Director General of Dubai Municipality Hussain Nasser Lootah.It will also include a 2km racecourse, football, basketball and volleyball fields, said head of Projects Design Department at DM Mohammed Hassan Al-Ali.
