Female expatriate students can now join Zayed University (ZU) starting September, an official from the university said. Admission is also open to expatriate students at the newly established International College at Zayed University based at Dubai Knowledge Village for the new academic year in September. The university previously catered to UAE national women only. The decision was taken two weeks ago.
Expatriate female students can join the Zayed University Dubai campus, while the Abu Dhabi campus will still be limited to UAE nationals only. Students can enrol in all programmes offered at the ZU Dubai campus except for the Academic Bridge Programme -- an English foundation course. Further, the International College at Zayed University will be offering students two full-four year baccalaureate programmes leading to degrees in information systems and technology management and general business. Fees for those joining the ZU Dubai campus and the International College will be Dh55,000 (RM1=Dh1.06) per year. UAE national female students wishing to join the International College will be required to pay the fees as well. However, students joining the Zayed University Dubai campus will have to pay at the Dubai Knowledge Village. Students can begin to apply online beginning April 15.
