Dubai Schools Agency new structure

The new structure of Dubai Educational Zone (DEZ) has been designed with the aim of developing the service delivery and operational procedures following an extensive research exercise conducted by Dubai Education Council and DEZ. The new approach will directly develop the educational and administrative support services, granting more autonomy to schools and providing a better service to parents, schools, and all other stakeholders.
H.E. Fatima Al Marri, a member of Dubai Education Council, explained that the agency is working in collaboration with specialized human resources management organizations to assess and thus develop the skills and qualifications of all staff of DEZ. The assessment will be thorough, comprehensive giving all staff the opportunity to demonstrate their individual and professional skills. Starting on Wednesday the assessment process will last for about 2 months after which the process of placing candidates in appropriate positions in the new structure based on their skills and qualifications will commence. A matching process will start by evaluating the staff skills and capabilities against the needs and requirements of positions in the new structure. Where development opportunities are identified, a programme will be designed to enhance the professional skills of the individuals. This step comes in line with the directives of the Ministry of Education to support the decentralization of the education sector in order to enhance the educational and administrative performance of the employees of this field. H.E. Mrs. Fatima Al Marri briefed the attendees on the KHDA outlining the authority's aim to enhance the quality of education in Dubai in accordance with market requirements through planning, executing and monitoring education development schemes.
Dubai Education Zone will provide further support and better administrative and customer services for all stakeholders.
At the end of the meeting, which was attended by 120 DEZ staff, H.E. Mrs. Fatima Al Marri answered the attendees' inquiries and questions which mainly focused on the assessment process and the restructure of DEZ.
