WorldCare Limited, a pioneer in the development of global e-health services, said it would build the Middle East's largest Wellness Centre at Phase II of Dubai HealthCare City (DHCC).The Dh1 billion WorldCare Wellness Centre will offer wellness programmes modelled and designed after the award winning Duke Diet and Fitness Program, the most respected and effective weight loss programme in the United States.The project is to be implemented through The Dubai Wellness Centre, an affiliate of WorldCare.The Wellness Centre will be developed with Duke University Health System and Partners Healthcare System.Nasser Menhall, CEO of WorldCare Limited, said the WorldCare Wellness Centre will be directly connected to their academic consortium through the WorldCare's Global Telemedicine network, providing access to its 3,500 physicians and specialists.Established in 1992, WorldCare, provides specialised and customised access to high quality healthcare in 30 countries worldwide. Structured as technology transfer (Telemedicine) initiative with clinical support from the Department of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital, WorldCare developed a comprehensive, medical record based protocol for international second opinion e-consultation referred to as Patient Management Consultation which includes verification of the primary diagnosis, a recommended treatment plan and follow-up.
