Emirates Palace Hotel achieves double digit growth

Emirates Palace, managed by Kempinski hotels, recorded remarkable double digit growth in the last twelve months, pushing its occupancy to peak levels in a breakout year that saw the luxury resort join the ranks of the world's best luxury hotels. GCC and European tourists have led tourist arrivals, while corporate and travel trade bookings have also increased as a result of the hotel's attractive incentives package and extensive promotional efforts in key and emerging markets abroad, including Russia, India, France and the UK. Among the more successful promotions that significantly contributed to a growing number of tourists who stayed at the Emirates Palace include exciting Ramadan and Eid special offers, as well as enticing summer and weekend packages.
2006 was a bountiful year for Emirates Palace as far as awards and recognitions are concerned. The luxury resort harvested a number of prestigious citations not only from the most coveted regional and global industry awards, but also from prominent hospitality and travel publications. Seven Stars and Stripes Awards gave its highest possible citation to Emirates Palace - The World Level Perfection Award - praising the luxury hotel for impeccable and world-class customer service. Recently, Emirates Palace also made it to Conde Nast Traveller Gold List, the ultimate guide for the world's best hotels that exemplifies the magazine's gold standard for rooms.
At the recent MENA Travel Awards, staged annually to celebrate the skills, creativity, ingenuity and triumph of the Middle East and North Africa 's growing travel industry, Emirates Palace dominated by winning the highest honors - the Platinum Awards - in three categories, the most by any hotel, including Best New Hotel of the Year, Best in Convention and Conference Facilities, and Best Tourism Project. During the World Travel Awards in London, the biggest and most prestigious in the travel industry, Emirates Palace capped its banner year by winning the World's Leading New Resort and the World's Leading Presidential Suite awards. It also received the Middle East's Leading Conference Hotel and Leading Presidential Suite awards in addition to Abu Dhabi's Leading Hotel citation.
