A team from the Spanish TV Channel two is visiting the UAE to shoot a documentary titled "The Arabian Woman".The film, produced in coordination with the External Information Department (EID) of the National Media Council, highlights woman's position in the UAE at all political, economic and social levels.The EID has prepared a schedule for the visiting team to meet with a number of ministers and high-ranking officials in the country.The Spanish team is planning to produce TV features on the UAE woman, her role in promoting education and the progress she has achieved in work fields.
Yesterday the team interviewed Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubeisi, the elected member of the National Federal Council from Abu Dhabi, who stressed the significance of woman's role in the social, economic and cultural life in the UAE.She lauded the country's wise policy in encouraging woman to hold very prominent positions. "The political reforms are set to empower women in political and economic fields. The UAE woman is capable of participating in the National Federal Council alongside with her male counterpart." She added.The Spanish team will have a close look at the development of the tourism sector and the mega projects in the country well.Source
